You Know I Have To Be Honest
I don't know all of the details in the Lewis Libby trial. I am familiar with the case, the charges, etc. But I have to say, that although completely legal, it seems almost inappropriate when a President commutes a prison sentence. I guess the reason I feel that way is because, a trial has been held, and a jury has found the defendant guilty. That is how our judicial system is set up in this country. Now when a President steps in and commutes a sentence, or pardons a convicted criminal, it seems like a dictatorship where one power can override a decision like this.
Having said all that, I crack up that Hillary Clinton actually had something to say about this. I knew when President Clinton was ending has last term in office that he had pardoned a number of people. What I didn't know was how many he pardoned during his entire Presidency. Here is the list. I think it is hysterical that Hillary would open her mouth and expose her to be the hypocrite that she is. Don't give the, "It wasn't her, it was her husband" argument fooey either.
