It's a great day if you are a liberal. It's not so great if you are conservative

I have many friends who are Democrats (Which isn't unusual in Massachusetts). Although I am unenrolled, I am not a centrist. I am conservative on most issues. I did not vote for Deval Patrick. I'll write here today, I have many fears as to what will happen with a Democrat Governor and a long held Democrat-controlled legislature. Deval seems to be a nice guy. He speaks of bringing people together. I hope that is true. My main fear is how he is going to pay for all of the things he'd like to do. I fear that with coming changes we will no longer be able to afford to live here. I hope this isn't true.

To all of my friends and family who voted for him, I hope you've made the right decision. If you haven't, you will have made more residents move out of this state.
For many of our families, we struggle to live here now. If there are significant tax increases, we will most certainly will have to move. And that would be a sad day. I hope that day never comes.
